(Original Review)I got this hub to use with the valve steam deck. I read that it worked for other people on their steam decks. I have windows 10 installed on my deck, I don't know how or if this affects how the hub works. I have used mice, keyboards, usb sound devices, and even external usb hard drives without issue through this hub. The usb power pass through also works perfectly with the charger the steam deck comes with. HOWEVER, when I plugged an hdmi cable from my tv to the hub to use on the steam deck I got a picture for a few seconds before the picture disappeared. After this the steam deck WOULD NOT CHARGE, whether through the hub or with the official charger connected directly to the deck. I had read about this problem with other hubs and was able to fix it by:1. powering off the deck completely2. power on the deck while holding the volume + button3. select "Setup Utility" using the d-pad to navigate and A for yes B for no4. go down to "Power"5. right once to highlight "Battery storage mode" and select yes to proceed. This will turn off the deck.6. wait until the light next to the usb-c port stops blinking (mine blinked maybe 6-7 times in bursts)7. plug in the official charger. The deck should boot up normally.This fixed the not charging problem for me and everything is working as it did before I connected the hdmi. I have been using this hub with the deck for almost a week and this is the only issue I have had. I will not be trying the hdmi port again on this hub. I will just wait for the official dock from valve for video out from the deck.(Update 7/12/2022)Since the original review I've set up my deck to be able to dual boot windows 10 and steam os. I did this solely to be able to download updates from steam os since there is no way to get them on windows. Most of the updates are probably just for the steam os itself but I know some have been for firmware/bios that will carry over to windows. Since the original review I have been updating the deck occasionally and decided to give the hdmi out on this dongle another try. Now it seems to be working as intended. I've tried it with the tv that I had problems with originally and a monitor and they've both worked great. I still get the not charging problem occasionally, sometimes even when just plugging in the original charger, not involving this dongle at all. The problem happens rarely though and the battery storage mode trick still fixes it every time. For this reason I believe one of the updates may have at least partially fixed the compatibility with this dongle.(Update 9/29/2022)Recently got a JSAUX dock for the steamdeck and it just works. It has not had any of the issues this hub does. If you are considering this hub for your steamdeck I would spend the extra 20 dollars for a JSAUX dock and potentially save yourself a lot of trouble.

    I love Anker so much. They provide the best quality and fast charging. The adapter feels a bit light, giving the impression it is a bit cheap. However, the quality is great. I needed to project what was on my MacBook to quite a large TV and I didn’t notice any screen quality difference. If you are using sound for playing a video, make sure you connect the sound to the TV as well so it sinks up.
    1. Go to system settings
    2. Click on Displays
    3. Select your TV or Projector
    4. Select Mirror Your Screen if you want to see everything on your MacBook

    Note, it doesn’t work the other way around, you can’t receive input on MacBook like using an Xbox, Nintendo, PS5, etc. All the ports are exactly what you will ever need period. Cord length is just right too. I hate it when they give you this huge cord and you don’t know what do to with it. This also connects to iPhones if you have usb-c. Typically iPhone 15 or newer. This adapter is really great and I really recommend. If this doesn’t work for you, I would look at other Anker adapters or go Ugreen. Ugree has really good adapters too.

    I purchased this HUB to use with my SteamDeck, it has worked perfectly. I use it for when I travel and love how compact it is. I used it along with the SteamDeck's power supply, a very skinny 12 ft HDMI cable, and a 6 FT USB-C extension to the SteamDeck so I can use the SteamDeck as the controller. I like using the SteamDeck as a controller because I use Steam controls (back triggers and trackpads shortcuts). Sometimes I have needed a power extension cord, but that has more to do with the layout of the rooms I have used it. It also works with my old Samsung Note 8 to get DEX on any screen. I would like to let you know if it works with a computer, but I need to upgrade to one with USB-C ports… planning to get one soon.

    For what I'm using this HUB, it has way more ports than I need, but it's never bad to have extra ports if the price is acceptable. Also, the price for this was way less than the official SteamDeck dock and a good portion of the alternatives. Plus, since I prefer to use the SteamDeck as a controller, the other docks don't really work for me.

    It works perfectly fine as a USB Hub but, contrary to what some reviews say, it doesn't NOT work with a Nintendo Switch.
    It will charge it sometimes, depending on how you plug it in. It DOES works as a hub allowing you to use the USB-A ports when it's plugged in to the Switch directly, you don't even need it plugged into power. I never could get the HDMI to work with the Switch though.

    Ik kocht het voor mijn ipad om SD kaartjes te lezen die ik op vakantie wilde overzetten voor tijdens mijn reis. Ik was niet in staat mijn laptop mee te nemen. Dit werkte geweldig.     Een negatief punt is dat usb c schijven vaak net iets langzamer zijn dan direct in je macbook, maar voor mij niet echt een problee.
