Great product

Great product
I grow my own kitchen herbs and needed a grinder as crushing them by hand just was not enough. This works great with a little push of the herbs into the lower area of the grinder but this isn't exactly made for herbs, is it? It's made for something heavier like coffee. Ohhh I bet this would be perfect when I need a lot of fresh ground peppercorns for Mediterranean dishes. I will have to try that next! In these pics and vid I am grinding my own Oregano. See the difference between the color of store bought (at the bottom) and my own just ground (top) Oregano?

A lot more work than anticipated. But we took the hand crank off so we could attach a drill to grind with. It works well and is holding up so far we use it a good bit. We will probably opt for an electric one and keep this as a back up.

I purchased this to grind coffee for my 2-3 cup percolator as needed. It holds about 6 tablespoons of beans. I use 4-5TB per pot. It grinds easily and the lid keeps the beans in while grinding. I bought the one that fits standard mouth jars. It takes maybe a couple minutes to grind 6TB. It grinds fairly consistently with occasional larger chunks or a bean husk. That is not a problem for me.
I am learning how to use a percolator and plan on having that in my Airstream along with this grinder.

Pros: The grind size adjustment is great and stays set where you put it. The burr seems to be high quality and the grind is really consistent – quality of ground coffee you'd expect from a couple hundred dollar electric burr grinder.

Cons: Very, very slow and the hopper size is way to small. I have to grind three hoppers full of beans to get enough grounds for a 12 cup percolator. The connection of the hopper to the jar ring feels flimsy – you can feel it moving while grinding so I suspect it won't last a long time. I'm considering buying the large mouth version to get a bigger hopper, but I think the price is a bit steep for something that feels like it may not last so I'm going to wait and see how this small one holds up.

As manual coffee grinders go this is a good one, and worth the price. The only thing that would improve it is if it were made of heavier material. It fits nicely on a pint size, regular mouth Mason jar, and requires five hoppers full to fill the jar. If you like fresh ground coffee, and don't mind a little manual labor, you should get one of these.

Not impressed, I used it to grind peppercorns, pink hemaleyan salt, and was going to grind cloves. The handle is bendy and flimsy
The adjustment gear doesn't stay tight and has to constantly be re-tightened and the spice needed to be ground over again.

The box was damaged in shipping, and the grinding parts were shoved together so tightly that I had to take the entire thing apart and put it all back together to get it to move at all. It took a few tries to get the grind size adjusted to what I am happy with, and it works fine. It fits well on the jars I have already, but it will be the backup for the other hand crank grinder I already have, which was much more expensive and built better.
I would prefer if the wooden handle was screwed on the crank instead of riveted, it does wobble more than I am comfortable with.
There is a silicone feeling cover that comes with it, and we keep that cover on it while grinding to prevent the beans from escaping. I even went as far as banging the side of the hopper on my counter to see if it was sturdy and it was great. It didn't lose any shape at all.
We make one cup of coffee at a time in a pour-over cone, and it holds enough beans for that, but I don't believe it would hold enough for a full pot.
For the price, it is good. There is better out there, but better will cost more.
