I'm actually going to be comparing these to the Bose QuietComfort (2024) headphones, because I bought these as a "backup" pair without wanting to break the bank. I'd also like to point out, the Bose QC can be had for triple the price of these Monster headphones, at least from my personal experience.
Sound – These Monster headphones don't get as loud as the Bose QC, but they get close. I feel like the Bose QC offers more of a punchier sound overall, but bass is about the same. It should also be noted, the Bose have their own app where you can tune the equalizer to your preference, where I don't believe the Monster has an app for it from what I've seen.
ANC – Both headphones offer three levels of ANC which are essentially ANC off, ANC aware where it amplies outside noise so you can hear your surroundings, and the actual sound cancellation ANC. Honestly? I found they performed equally, and I actually liked the Monster's "aware" mode a little more. You're not getting complete noise cancellation with either pair, but they do an admirable job of cutting out most of the noise when ANC is on.
Battery – I think both claim around 40 hours with ANC on, and something like 60-70 with ANC off. I haven't tested these claims with either as I'm always near a charger or don't go long periods of times to where I'll need to juice up the headphones. I don't see why I wouldn't believe the claim. Both do charge up pretty quick though.
Build quality – I think I'll give the edge to the Bose QC here. They feel lighter and more portable. The Bose also offer additional plush cushion along the headband whereas the Monsters just have a rubber cushion. Neither headphones felt like they were pressing against my skull to the point of being uncomfortable. The earcups on both felt pretty sang equal as well.
Call quality – I found the microphone quality to be a little better than the one on the Monster, but still completely fine. The Bose just sounded a hair clearer/less muddled.
Overall – With the Monster Persona 5th gen headphones, you're getting about 85-90% of the Bose QC experience for about a third of the price (50 vs 150+ USD, DEC 2025).
