I’ve been using the Virtusx Jethro V1 for a few days now and I’m honestly impressed. I never thought a mouse could improve my workflow this much.
What makes it stand out is the way it combines hardware and software in one device. It works not just as a mouse but also as an AI voice recorder. It has a built-in microphone and an AI chip that allows for real time voice processing. Now I can simply speak and it types everything into my Word documents or emails. Writing feels effortless. I no longer need to switch between typing and thinking. I just talk and the content appears.
Another thing I really like is that Virtusx has a community section where developers share what they are working on. Based on the latest posts, a big software update is coming soon. They are building a full meeting assistant feature into the system. I’ve used tools like Otter AI, Fireflies, and Pathom before, but those platforms only transcribe after the meeting ends and everything is stored on the cloud. That setup always made me worry about privacy.
Virtusx is taking a different path. It does real time transcription, so you can see the text appear while people are speaking. All the data is stored locally on your computer, which gives more control and peace of mind. For me, that is a major upgrade.
If your work involves writing or online meetings, this is one of the most helpful tools I have used. It feels like the first AI voice recording device that was actually built around real user needs.
